Mr. O’Rourke has over 25 years of experience in financial services, transaction advisory, and turnaround management. His career combines lending and investment experience with advisory and execution, particularly in the lower and middle market.

He has co-founded multiple lending platforms within both non-bank specialty finance organizations and national and regional banks, with a focus on asset-based lending. Over the course of his career, he has held executive roles overseeing underwriting, credit, originations, workouts, and restructuring.

Collectively, these platforms have provided capital to more than 250 companies across the United States, Canada, and Europe, totaling over $7 billion in originations.

In addition to founding Highland Park Advisory Group, Mr. O’Rourke has worked with nationally recognized turnaround and advisory firms. During the COVID-19 period, he led numerous transactions and served in CFO and CRO roles for multiple companies, driving critical operational and financial improvements.

He holds degrees in Economics and History from Boston College and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Secured Finance Association, and the Turnaround Management Association.
