
Mr. O’Rourke has over 25 years of financial services, transaction advisory, and turnaround management experience. His career combines lending and investment experience with advisory and transaction experience, particularly in the lower and middle market. He co-founded several lending platforms both in non-bank specialty finance units and for national and regional banks in their asset-based lending divisions. Throughout his career he has been in executive roles overseeing underwriting, credit, originations, workout and restructuring. In aggregate, the platforms entered into capital arrangements with over 250 companies throughout the US, Canada and Europe, totaling over $7.0 billion in originations.
In addition to founding Highland Park Advisory Group, Mr. O’Rourke worked with a nationally recognized turnaround management and transaction advisory firm. During the COVID crisis, he led numerous transactions, and served as CRO and CFO on multiple companies. Since starting Highland Park Advisory Group, the firm has successfully completed engagements to assist companies with raising government assistance loans, completed business assessments and creation of business plans and models, and was brought on in Chief Financial Officer roles. Mr. O’Rourke was a dual major at Boston College, obtaining degrees in Economics and History. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Secured Finance Association and the Turnaround Management Association.

Philip specializes in financial analytics and business assessments, as well as numerous projects. At Highland Park, he contributes to our appraisal and asset disposition effort. A graduate of Rutgers University and American University, Philip has an extensive background in corporate development, financial analysis and special projects. Before participating with Highland Park, Philip undertook a number of endeavors at both startups and nationally recognized companies.
